We both came from corporate jobs in Manhattan, Christa in real estate marketing and Brittany in real estate finance law, and we lived out most of our twenties between Queens and Brooklyn. We enjoyed every moment in each place and appreciated the culture, the convenience, and of course, the amazing food, but eventually we felt the irresistible pull to the suburbs. 

After tireless online searching, months of driving back and forth in traffic to visit neighborhoods and homes in Westchester and Connecticut and spending countless hours trying to figure out what we could both afford, we almost gave up entirely. We had so many unanswered questions. Buy or rent? House or condo? New construction or fixer upper?  

We lacked proper guidance and had no source we could relate to or that served us without sales tactics. We knew real estate agents were experts on these things, but we weren’t ready to talk about sales or markets. We were stuck at step one with so many unanswered questions. We needed resources, insight and data to help us determine where we should be looking and what we should be looking for.
